How about simply treating yourself to a spontaneous concert experience in the Philharmonie during your lunch break? And the best thing about it: entry is free! This unique opportunity is available to you every Wednesday between September and June at 1 p.m. During this short 40 to 50 minute break you can expect a varied musical program, ranging from chamber music performances to virtuoso piano pieces to rousing drum duos.
The selection ranges from Tchaikovsky to tango and therefore covers a wide range of musical genres. Not only talented musicians from the ranks of the Berlin Philharmonic and the renowned Karajan Academy often appear on stage, but also outstanding guests from the German Symphony Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin and the talented students of Berlin's music academies.
And of course, as is a given at the lunch concert, you have the opportunity to enjoy high-quality yet affordable catering from 12 p.m. until shortly before the concert begins.
