What traces of the colonial era can be discovered in Neukölln? What does Neukölln's colonial past have to do with the present? Who were the colonizers and what did the self-empowerment of the colonized look like? What demands are there for an appropriate culture of remembrance?
You will explore these questions with the sociologist and urban researcher Dr. Iris Wachsmuth follows. The tour takes place at the Neukölln garrison cemetery (Columbiadamm), where the so-called “Hererostein” is located. Other places are included digitally.
Meeting point promptly at 2 p.m. at the entrance to the Columbiadamm cemetery.
