This ballet immerses the audience in the fairy tale of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette.
Odette has fallen victim to the magician Rothbart's famous spell: she turns into a swan during the day and back into a woman at night. Only the promise of eternal love can free her from this enchantment. Siegfried promises Odette that he will marry her at the ball in his honor. Will they escape the tricks of Rothbart and his daughter Odile? Will the prince be able to save his bride?
Swan Lake was created in 1875 by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and became the greatest classical success of all time when it was revived in 1895 by the choreographer Marius Petipa.
Between “Pas de deux”, romantic duets and “Dance des Petits Cygnes”, the dancers interpret this masterpiece with elegance, accompanied by a renowned orchestra.
