The Sculpture Garden, which has been accessible again since the renovation and reopening of the Neue Nationalgalerie last year, is being revived as an evening venue for concerts: "Sound in the Garden" is the start of a new concert series that takes up the historic "Jazz in the Garden" format that took place here in the 1970s until the mid-1980s. Sound in the Garden" will expand the musical spectrum and bring contemporary formats to the stage. Musicians and bands from a wide variety of backgrounds and genres are invited to enter into dialogue with works from the current collection presentation "The Art of Society" in their live performances. In this way, very personal connections and associations will find their way into the musical or performative debate.

Admission to the sculpture garden, where a bar will also be set up, is from 7 pm on Saturdays. The concerts begin at 8 pm and last about 45 minutes. For participants, the exhibition "The Art of Society" is open from 7 to 10 pm.

Tickets for the concert and exhibition are available online for 15 €: www.smb.museum/veranstaltungen.

Remaining tickets are available at the box office. In case of bad weather, the events will take place indoors.

In addition, on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 10 pm, the Sundowner Bar on the terrace and the exhibition "Barbara Kruger. Bitte lachen / Please cry" in the upper hall of the Neue Nationalgalerie will be open.
