Saskia Kästner and Dirk Rave present the best of western novels

The music comedy duo Sister Cordula is a unique experience that captivates the audience through the combination of acting, singing and humor from Saskia Kästner and the virtuoso accordion playing from Dirk Rave.

They are a cult phenomenon and bring the audience into a frenzy – with dime novels. Of course not with just anyone, because what the two of them bring to the stage is the best of the stereotypes from many novels, which they condense into a new story and deliver effectively on the stage. Musically brilliantly counteracted from symphonic poetry to opera to pop and rock.

Now they're upping the ante: The trilogy of legendary programs featuring doctor, mom and hometown novels is being expanded to include a western novel.

Cowboys! Real guys, few words, freedom, loneliness and adventure. And when in doubt, they'd rather shoot too much than too little - that's the glorified idea. But Sister Cordula shows us what the western heroes look like today. They are single fathers, left disillusioned by adventure-hungry city dwellers searching for meaning. These cowboys are men with responsibility, a toned body and charming dimples. No illusions, just sex, no love. Except for her children. And their horses.

The image of men through the ages. But one thing remains unchanged: “My name is Hunter.” Of course. Not Uwe or Kai. Hunter. Dirty. Rough. Sexy. Sigh!

Saskia Kästner is a stage animal. She squeaks, coos, entices, comments, cries and dances, slips into all the roles with virtuosity, makes the texts so lively that the audience can hardly breathe from laughing. And she sings furiously. At her side, Dirk Rave shines with his musical skills and his endless composure.

Saskia Kästner and Dirk Rave were awarded the coveted Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Prize 2023 with “Sister Cordula”.
