SCHLOSSHOFKONZERT
The five musicians of Shmaltz, who sing in five different languages and play on many exotic instruments, love to share their joy of musical diversity, songs, stories, dreams and dances. On their album "Island Without a Name" they tell of their recent adventures and dive into previously unheard depths of the Malwonian seas.
The blue kangoroo and the pirate bride Yolanda are two of their Malwonian heroes. It's about nothingness and love in the times of polluted seas.... Their world-spanning sound, from Balkan to Cumbia, Circus to Berliner Lied, not only sounds good, but is also exceptionally danceable. With verve, temperament and an attractive lightness, their music seems to take place in a parallel universe: Malwonia, the self-created paradise.
