The new exhibition at the Centre for Visual Arts Berlin shows over 100 original posters by one of the most influential and internationally renowned Japanese graphic designers and poster artists - Shigeo Fukuda. These include his most renowned and best-known works from five decades, created between the 1970s and his death in 2009.


Fukuda's use of optical illusions brought a new character to the international design scene. His influence on poster art was groundbreaking and inspired generations, and he received several international awards. His posters are characterised by their humorous and always masterfully executed design.
