On Good Friday and Saturday, the historic train operated by the Historische S-Bahn e. V. association will return for sightseeing tours as the Easter Train. During each round-trip tour, passengers can transfer to historic streetcars and an old double-decker bus.

With one trip per day, there will be a reunion with a legend of local transit: After a three-year renovation break, trips are once again taking place with a historic Tatra KT4D tram (built in 1986). On the tours known as “combination trips,” our guests can also transfer to a historic double-decker bus and a Tatra T6A2 tram.

The combined tours depart from Ostbahnhof (Platform 10) at 12:10 p.m. The S-Bahn travels to Grünau, where a tram and bus will be waiting to continue the journey to Alt-Schmöckwitz. After a short break, the return trip follows the same route, ending at Ostbahnhof. The bus and tram rides are part of the Easter Train trip and cannot be used separately.

On both days, there will also be two one-way trips. These depart from Charlottenburg (Platform 7) at 10:05 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. and initially go to the Olympic Stadium. There, the train turns around and travels through the city center to Wuhlheide, where the trip ends.

On board, the Easter Bunny will hand out small gifts to the children. There will also be a selection of snacks and S-Bahn souvenirs available.

The Easter train consists of S-Bahn cars built in 1928 and 1938. They are maintained and operated entirely by volunteers from the association.
