Crossatlantic Narratives – Villa Aurora scholarship holders 2022
For the first time, the Villa Aurora & Thomas Mann House e.V. association is presenting works by its art scholarship holders at HAUS KUNST MITTE: Ali El-Darsa, Silke Fischer, Anna Haifisch, Antje Majewski, Lukas Schilling, Sonya Schönberger, Siska and Clemens von Wedemeyer.

The exhibition “Rooms with a View” brings artistic impulses from Los Angeles to Berlin and provides an insight into the projects created by the Villa Aurora scholarship holders.
These eight artists spent three months in Los Angeles in 2022 and developed new artistic approaches and questions on site. In the exhibition, the scholarship holders enter into a dialogue through their works and present their diverse perspectives on California. Her works range from reflections on billboard advertising to the Hollywood film industry, from reflections on the Pacific Ocean to the threat of earthquakes in the metropolis of Los Angeles.
