memorial event & poster exhibition

On January 27, 2025, the Lichtenberg District Office of Berlin invites you to the annual light campaign at the Lichtenberg Museum on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Over 300 names of Jews who were expelled from Lichtenberg and Hohenschönhausen and murdered will be projected onto the gable wall of the town hall. The projection can be seen until the early hours of January 28 at Türrschmidtstrasse 24.

In the lounge, the museum is also showing posters from a poster campaign on anti-Semitism and Jewish life in Lichtenberg, designed by Days Lotta, Sylvein Dazas, Maria Victoria Rodriguez and Sophia Hirsch.

Make a stand against forgetting by taking part!

The invitation comes from: District Mayor Martin Schaefer, Daniela Bell (Head of the Office for Further Education and Culture) and André Wartmann (Anti-Semitism Commissioner).

Musical accompaniment by Burkhard Schmidt.
