IMAGINE LOVE is the motto of Rave the Planet 2026.

The past few days have been on all of our minds. Following the horrific attack on Berlin’s CSD, we paused to reflect, mourn, and carefully assess the situation together with the relevant authorities.

The Rave the Planet Parade will take place on August 15, 2026.

The security plan has been reviewed once again in collaboration with the police and authorities and fine-tuned in certain areas. The goal remains to ensure the greatest possible safety for everyone involved.

At the same time, our thoughts remain with those affected, their loved ones, and all those injured.

Since July 25, this year’s motto has taken on even greater significance:

• More love.
• More solidarity.
• More diversity.
• More humanity.

IMAGINE LOVE was never just a slogan. Right now, it’s a mindset. Because every action is preceded by a thought. Let that thought be love.

Rave the Planet at a Glance

Every summer, Straße des 17. Juni and the adjacent Tiergarten are transformed into a massive open-air rave party. Trucks with sound systems, mobile DJs, and thousands of people dancing move to the rhythm of the music. Rave the Planet is a cultural and political demonstration for peace and also advocates for the protection of cultural spaces.

If this reminds you of the 2000s and the Love Parade in Berlin, you’re right. Rave the Planet sees itself in the tradition of these street raves and brings people together under the motto of peace, community, and solidarity.

What Makes Rave the Planet So Special

• A massive open-air rave party with free admission. Rave the Planet is a celebration for everyone and honors the cultural and social contributions of electronic dance music culture. So it’s not an end in itself, but rather a celebration for a good cause.

• At Rave the Planet, you can expect an electrifying atmosphere and thousands of like-minded people. Put on some comfortable shoes and hit the dance floor!

• International stars of electronic dance music spin tracks on the party trucks known as “floats.”

Background and History of Rave the Planet

Berlin is not only the capital of Germany, but also the capital of techno. The unique conditions in the city after the fall of the Berlin Wall offered ideal opportunities for musicians eager to experiment: empty spaces, a bit of creative chaos, and, above all, people who were open to something new. Even today, Berlin’s diverse club culture draws on the legacy of these pioneers of electronic music.

Many of them are still actively involved with Rave the Planet. Of course, it’s all about partying and cruising through the capital to the thumping bass. But it’s also about preserving the legacy of electronic music and securing it for the future.

To ensure that Berlin techno receives the recognition it deserves, Rave the Planet has advocated for its inclusion on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. On March 13, 2024, the moment finally arrived: Berlin’s techno culture was added to the German UNESCO Commission’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Our Recommendations for Rave the Planet

• Partying and dancing outdoors puts you in a good mood. But don’t forget to bring sunscreen and plenty of water. On the Rave the Planet website, you’ll find a detailed list of tips on what to bring (and what’s best left at home).

• The area around Straße des 17. Juni is spacious and, with the Tiergarten, offers places to retreat. If you need a break from partying, you can relax and recharge here.

• Rave the Planet isn’t possible without Save the Planet. That’s why the crew and volunteers pitch in together the day after the event to clean up the Großer Tiergarten during Clean-Up Day. Join in and help ensure that both party culture and the planet are protected.
