BERLIN SCIENCE WEEK 2026

In the year following its tenth anniversary, Berlin Science Week is deliberately turning its attention to the personal dimension of science. For science is not an abstract system, but a profoundly human adventure: it arises from curiosity, doubt and passion – and touches our lives every day.

‘In Touch’ shows how science influences our everyday lives and puts the spotlight on the people behind the research – their stories, their motivation, their hopes and their outlooks. At the same time, the festival poses key questions: What does science mean for us as a society – and for each and every one of us as individuals? How does it change the way we think, act and live together?

A festival highlight is the public weekend from 6 to 8 November at the HKW, where science comes to life through exhibitions, workshops and stage events.

ABOUT BERLIN SCIENCE WEEK

Every year from 1 to 10 November, Berlin Science Week transforms the city into a festival of scientific ideas and celebrates groundbreaking research and innovations from Berlin and its international partners.

The festival transcends disciplinary boundaries and connects science and culture with an inquisitive audience. Together, they create a vibrant platform for science and society, inviting people to explore how cutting-edge research shapes our world.

Berlin Science Week is hosted by the Falling Walls Foundation GmbH and organised with the support of the Berlin Senate Department for Science, Health and Care.
