They Have Waited Long Enough
In their project *They Have Waited Long Enough*, Katharine Dain and the Ragazze Quartet tell the stories of famous and lesser-known women from a new perspective.

They have commissioned works from contemporary female composers for soprano, string quartet, and various solo instruments, giving these long-unheard figures a voice of their own.
Mythological characters such as Medea and Penelope are represented, as are historical female figures, including the Basque midwife (sortzain) María San Juan de Garonda, who was persecuted and murdered as a witch in the 16th century.
