Guided tour for families with children aged 4 and over

Sheep in a castle garden in the middle of Berlin? What sounds unusual is actually really good – for the sheep and for the garden! On this tour with two experts, children learn everything about the woolly animals and can experience them up close.

Garden master Andrea Badouin explains the important task the animal lawn mowers take on and why they are still not allowed to graze on the well-kept areas at the castle. Shepherd Björn Hagge introduces his animals and explains how his herd moves between winter quarters and the castle garden every year, what they experience there and how he looks after them.

If you want, you can contact the animals directly, feed them and learn how to remove the animals' wool. Julie and Jamie, the two herding dogs, are always there and show what they can do.

The program lasts about one and a half to two hours and is intended for children.

A guided tour for adults is offered at 2 p.m. under the title “Meadows, Pastures, Wool”.

Please note that there are only limited parking spaces available in the area around the castle gardens. We recommend traveling by public transport.
