The Cemetery of the March Revolution was created by the rebellious of the Berlin March Revolution for the dead barricade fighters, including women.
Since more than 170 years, commemorations take place in this unique place, freedom and human rights are demanded and the dead revolutionaries are remembered. No ban during the Kingdom of Prussia or the Nazi era could permanently prevent democratic commemoration.
Every Sunday at 11:00 a guide from the educational team leads a tour of the March Revolution and gives insights into the history of the 1848 Revolution and of the cemetary.
