13th Ibero-American Festival
PLATAFORMA BERLIN creates a unique space in which new and traditional narratives, ecological discourses, geopolitical activism and ontologies of the Global South can emerge, whilst stimulating and encouraging reflection amongst Berlin’s global and local audiences.

PLATAFORMA BERLIN FESTIVAL 2026
The festival focuses on BIPoC artists (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) and their life experiences; it explores intimate forms of expression, connected to ancestors in the shadow of geopolitical and ecological crises.
‘To Curate’ means ‘to heal’ in Spanish; this curatorial approach creates a space for the diversification of perspectives and viewpoints, facilitating a multitude of standpoints and encounters across pluriverses.
In 2026, the festival will celebrate its 13th edition, showcasing interdisciplinary works in the fields of dance, performance, film, food, healing and critical thinking, featuring artists from Bolivia, Argentina, Uganda, Egypt, Iran, Colombia and Berlin.
- PLATAFORMA BERLIN, founded by the Colombian BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) choreographer, performer and curator Martha Hincapié Charry, who lives in Berlin.
