Pentagram are one of the most successful and influential metal bands in Turkey. Formed in 1987, the band attracted attention within the first three years with a series of gigs. Their self-titled debut album quickly developed into a media hype and was celebrated and supported by the Turkish metal scene. Their sound was heavily influenced by the progressive hard rock of 80s bands.
In 2017, the band reunited with former members (Demir Demirkan, Ogün Sanlısoy and Murat İlkan) to celebrate their 30th anniversary. They made a comeback with an album called "Acoustic", which included unplugged versions of their classic songs, and a documentary called "30 Years of Stories".
Pentagram have supported legends such as Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Accept, Manowar, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Queensryche, Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains and Rammstein in the past. Now Pentagram are also reporting back live! On 26 October 2023, they will be stationing at Berlin's Kesselhaus at the Kulturbrauerei.
