Philharmonisches Oktett Berlin, Daishin Kashimoto, Romano Tommasini, Amihai Grosz, Christoph Igelbrink, Esko Laine, Wenzel Fuchs, Stefan Schweigert, Stefan Dohr
The Berlin Philharmonic Octet was founded over 70 years ago and, as the chamber music association of the Berlin Philharmonic, performed in all major cities in Europe. Since its founding, the ensemble has been continuously supplemented and replaced by members of the Berlin Philharmonic.
Important world-class musicians, such as the former concertmasters Spiwakowsky, Röhn and Borries, the cellists Piatigorsky, Graudan and Machula, the clarinetist Bürkner and the bassoonist Rothensteiner, have played a part in the long history of the octet.
