Human Centered Design

Human Centered Design can be used in many ways. Among other things, it can be used in everyday work to understand the perspective of your users and stakeholders, e.g. in the sustainable design of manufacturing processes.

In terms of content, the participants will deal with the topic of democracy. The idea of democracy is more than 2000 years old. A lot has changed since then. Today, social media and globalization are changing the way we live together. And in the future? In the workshop they deal with empathy and democracy and explore the question of how they want to be involved in the future. Discover together how democracy can continue!

The event is part of the “Learning to shape futures” workshop series, which takes place once a month as part of the Open Lab evening. In a total of four modules, you will get to know well-founded methods of shaping the future, which you can put together to create your own individual future method kit.

What is an Open Lab evening?
Have you always wondered what design thinking is, how a 3D printer works and how a robot is programmed? And what exactly does all this have to do with the future? Then you've come to the right place in the Futurium Lab! Every Thursday you are invited to get to know methods and tools for shaping the future together with the makers and to develop new ideas for the future in workshops.

Workshop management
The Berlin Ideas Lab is a laboratory for transformational design. The team supports organizations in the design process of sustainable product and service innovations as well as desirable images of the future using methods of future research, design thinking and visual storytelling.
