During the night, the toy comes to life and takes her on a magical adventure: a battle against an army of mischievous mice, a transformation into a charming prince, and a fairytale journey through an enchanted kingdom where flowers bloom and snowflakes dance.
The world premiere of this two-part ballet took place in December 1892 at the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. The Nutcracker remains one of the most frequently performed ballets in the world – celebrated for its captivating music and spectacular choreography.
