Romantic Music by Rheinberger
The moving choral music of the Munich Romantic composer Josef Gabriel Rheinberger takes center stage in this NoonSong. Two works are being performed for the first time in a NoonSong: the song-like “Confitebor” and his famous “Abendlied.” You’ll also hear the rarely performed, grand, double-choir “Miserere,” which is steeped in the spirit of the Renaissance.

NoonSong – what is it?
Every Saturday at noon, locals, visitors to Berlin, music fans, and architecture enthusiasts gather for NoonSong. It is both a concert and a church service, developed from the Anglican Evensong. Eight professional singers from the vocal ensemble sirventes berlin perform choral music under the direction of Stefan Schuck. The repertoire ranges from Renaissance music to contemporary compositions.
