Maximilian Schnaus, Organ
The traditional New Year's Eve organ concert in the Sophienkirche always goes beyond the usual festive sounds. In addition to virtuoso music by Marcel Dupré and Johann Sebastian Bach, this time you will hear Jan Esra Kuhl's composition “Windeltreppe”, a recent piece for organ and electronics that has already achieved cult status. A sequence from Bach's Fantasy in G minor is spectacularly deconstructed.
