Three decades is a long time. Half a human life. Thirty years ago, cell phones were status symbols weighing several kilos, Helmut Kohl was forming his 5th government, Michael Schumacher was celebrating his first Formula 1 World Championship. When the Hemp Museum opened its doors on December 6, 1994, the world was a different place.

Just as the world changed, Germany's only permanent exhibition on the plant hemp also underwent molts and transformations over the course of time. And yet it has remained true to itself.

For almost three decades, the Hemp Museum has been providing information about cannabis as a raw material, medicine and stimulant in an unagitated manner and with a great deal of love for hemp.

The new special exhibition "(Almost) 30 years of the Hemp Museum" invites you to relive the exciting history of the museum in 30 large-format pictures from just as many years.

The exhibition is also the starting signal for a whole year of anniversary activities, the highlight of which will be the 30th birthday on December 6, 2024.Translated with DeepL
