Fall vacation at the Labyrinth Children's Museum
At MUSHROOMS, MUSHROOMS! WELL-CONNECTED SUPERSTARS, children can learn about mushrooms in the Labyrinth Children's Museum. The autumn holiday program "Mushrooms, Mushrooms! Well-connected Superstars" is all about these fascinating creatures.
From October 19th to November 3rd, 2024, many exciting offers await the little visitors.
Grow a mushroom forest!
During the two weeks of autumn holidays, a mushroom forest made of upcycling materials will grow in the upcycling workshop with the help of the children. Every day, colorful mushrooms can be made from paper, cardboard, fabric scraps and wool.
So that the gnomes and fairies in the forest also have a home, mushroom houses can be made every afternoon from Monday to Friday.
On the weekends, mini mushroom worlds are created from natural materials, for which you are welcome to bring your own screw-top jar with a lid.
In the workshop “The Secrets of Forest Mushrooms” (ages 4 and up), children become mushroom researchers, learn lots of exciting facts about these special creatures and examine them under the microscope.
In “Mushrooms – the superheroes up close” (ages 6 and up), mushrooms can be researched under the microscope and discovered, how they help with baking and what other superpowers they have.
With so much knowledge in their luggage, the children set off to collect mushrooms in the environmental exhibition “Naturally today! Get involved for tomorrow”. Mushroom picture searches and mushroom identification sheets help to find them.
Visitors can find out more exciting information about mushrooms – what they have in common with corals, for example – on the mushroom rally through the museum. Simply pick it up at the checkout!
If you can’t get enough of mushrooms, dig up the forest floor in the “Wild World” and create the best conditions for them to grow.
There are also lots of action games on the topic of mushrooms, the book box contains even more knowledge and funny stories and in the mushroom lounge there are even mushrooms to cuddle.
