Photography workshop for children aged 6 and over and their adult companions with the photographer Michelle Martins Carvalho supported by the art educators Karen Michelsen Castañón and Marian Fuchs

What do we see when we observe other people? What impression of the person do we store? Which facial expressions and gestures do we remember? And how can we bring these to the foreground photographically? Based on the works of the artist Peter Laszlo Péri, we examine these questions using photographic means. The artist showed great interest in people, their way of life and their relationships, especially since the 1930s. His art should express a social and emotional level through appropriate poses of the figures.

In this workshop, children work face-to-face with their companions to create personal portraits and also learn simple photography techniques. In the end, portrait photos of unique ways of observing are created.

You are also welcome to bring your own cameras!
