Literature LIVE

How do you drown your own bastard day after day? As a self-confessed landlubber, Wigald Boning feels anything but at home in the wet element. This changes with his self-imposed swimming program: every day for 365 days into the floods - in wind and weather.

Boning takes on snarling swans, finds unexpected treasure in muddy bottoms, and feuds with cargo ship captains. One day he ended up at Hanover Airport of all places - no bathing lake far and wide. But an employee whispers to him that there is this rainwater retention basin behind the tower, which has probably never been swum by a human being. Is that the solution? And whether! A wonderfully amusing field report for all boning and swimming fans.

Born in Wildeshausen in 1967, Wigald Boning is one of the greatest German TV multi-talents. He became known as "Die Doofen" through the comedy show RTL Saturday Night and in the singing duo with Olli Dittrich. It's hard to imagine the media landscape without him, he moderated the WIB-Schaukel and Clever, is a permanent panel member at Genial and is a guest in numerous successful shows. He has been awarded several times with various prizes. His most recent publications, GRÄFE UND UNZER, include Der Pedestrian and his SPIEGEL bestseller Run, Wigald, run!.
