Reading
Petra Lehmkuhl studied art history and German language and literature in Berlin and Vienna. She has worked as an editor, a curator and for various galleries in New York and Berlin. She won the Open Mike competition. Her plays have been performed at the Kulturfabrik Moabit, the Theaterdiscounter and the Hau.

Claudius Hagemeister has published short stories and flash fiction, and has worked as a freelance writer for newspapers and as a scriptwriter for computer games and television. He has been teaching creative writing since 1998.

The Alte Schwede is a traditional Berlin pub in Wedding (Schwedenstr. 11A, Osloer Str. underground station), which has made a name for itself as a pub and a venue for concerts, theatre performances and readings. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 6 pm. Cash only; no credit cards accepted. Admission is free for events; donations are welcome.
