Kristian Commichau has opened up this world-renowned cultural treasure: He has tamed the Teutonic violence and sprawling cast of the great opera productions and arranged the most beautiful scenes for mixed choir and chamber orchestra.

Getting to know Wagner anew: Transparent. Compact. Textually comprehensible. Romantic. A celebration of choral music and a courageous early music ensemble that dares to try new instruments and sounds! Of course, the obligatory Bach cantata will not be missing this time either. In this romantic opera, Eva, a young woman from a bourgeois family in Nuremberg, and the minnesinger Walter fall in love. After Walter learns to write poetry and compose from Hans Sachs, a singing contest takes place in a kind of Eurovision Song Contest. Walter sings a song for Eva and wins first place and Eva's hand.
