Judy Craymer's brilliant interpretation presents the timeless ABBA songs in the form of a cheerful and humorous story about a mother, her daughter and three potential fathers on an idyllic Greek island.

The performances in 2024 mark the 25th anniversary of “MAMMA MIA!” since its premiere in London's West End in April 1999. The musical still holds the third place as the third longest-running musical in London's West End, with over 10 million viewers. It was seen by more than 65 million viewers worldwide in 50 productions and in 16 different languages. In 2011, “MAMMA MIA!” the first musical in the Western Hemisphere to be performed in Mandarin in the People's Republic of China. It ran on Broadway for an impressive 14 years, making it one of the eight longest-running shows in Broadway history.
Since its premiere in London's West End, this spectacular and entertaining musical has been given new impetus by two hugely successful film adaptations. The film "MAMMA MIA!" produced by Judy Craymer from 2008 became the most successful musical film of all time after its release. The second film, "MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN" from 2018, is the most successful live musical film sequel of all time.
The music and lyrics of “MAMMA MIA!” come from Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus. Catherine Johnson wrote the screenplay, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and Anthony Van Laast was responsible for the choreography. The production was conceived by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken, and music direction, additional materials and arrangements by Martin Koch.
