You have the opportunity to spontaneously attend a concert in the Philharmonie during your lunch break - and it's free of charge - every Wednesday at 1 p.m. between September and June. During this period, a 40 to 50 minute program will be presented, ranging from chamber music performances to piano pieces to percussion duos, covering a wide repertoire from Tchaikovsky to tango.

Members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra or the Karajan Academy often play, but guests from the German Symphony Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin and students from the Berlin music academies also appear.

As is usual for a lunch concert, a catering service is available from 12 p.m. until shortly before the concert begins, which is both high quality and affordable.

Admission is free.
