Through purchases and donations, the collection of the Graphothek Berlin, the oldest art library in Germany, was expanded last year to include important works of art. These works can be seen in the current exhibition in the Reinickendorf Town Hall Gallery until May 2, 2025.
In addition to contemporary artistic positions, watercolors from the estate of the Reinickendorf artist Bernhard Friebel and prints by artists from the Kreuzberg bohemian circle are presented.
The Graphothek Berlin, the art collection of the Reinickendorf district, makes it possible to borrow original works of art for up to a year for a small fee. The inventory includes around 6,000 works, with a focus on classical modernism and contemporary art. After the end of the exhibition, all of the works presented can be borrowed.
