As part of Le Lampenfieber 2026: “Are We A Thing?”

Mille and Alissia have a lot in common: being lesbians and having fathers who live thousands of kilometers away in countries that were once communist but are now capitalist dictatorships, as well as a fondness for raw red bell peppers.

In this Chinese-Russian take on “Les Misérables” meets “Never Have I Ever,” they invite you to a lively, biting, and honest celebration of father complexes, queer friendships, communist history—and multilingual forgiveness.

Look forward to physical theater, singing rituals, Russian pickles, Chinese tea, and dramatic PowerPoint presentations as they explore their relationships with one another, with their fathers, and with politics. Are you ready for the journey?

Led by Mille Zhong and Alissia Pervozvanski-Dangles, the ensemble 88 mètres/seconde is dedicated to creating bold, ambitious, lesbian, and decolonial works that blend physical theater and experimental performance to advocate for radical representation, healing, and political change.
