An escapism revue

"The day has so many songs, but the night has the most beautiful." (Caterina Valente) Germany in the 1950s. In the time of reconstruction, after years of flight and expulsion and the beginning of the economic miracle, a popular cultural technique for the production of joie de vivre grows and flourishes - the German Schlager.

Schlager music becomes a widespread medium of a new self-confidence, an identity formation that continues to this day - also in Berlin Neukölln. Here, in the middle of Rixdorf, Berlin's amusement district, the formerly internationally successful show trio "DIE 3 ADORNOS" plans a comeback. When it turns out that the third Adorno has disappeared without a trace and needs to be replaced, the search for a new cast begins. Various artists introduce themselves with their numbers and tell the story of the German hit from yesterday to today.

A musical revue with a live band, surprise guests and selected hits from the 50s - from Caterina Valente to Bully Buhlan, Bruce Low and others. A production of LUNATIKS (Mickan/Rollar) and hit scientist Lothar Berndorff ("A hit is a hit").

Together with hit scientist Lothar Berndorff ("Ein Hit ist ein Hit"), LUNATIKS (Mickan/Rollar) develops a musical revue from interviews and hit literature with surprise guests and selected hits of the 50s hit. They skilfully ignore the threatening revelation that the best of all conceivable worlds is not so brilliant after all, and thus design a Schlager garden in which the audience* can spend a night of forgetting.
