With playful enthusiasm, they guide the audience through the history of cacao, from the Mayans to the present day, in a performative journey. The enslavement of children on cacao plantations and the manipulative tricks of the confectionery industry are addressed, as is the question of a better and fairer path to sweet happiness.
In an interactive theater space with video and live music, cacao is tasted and touched, revealing the stories hidden behind its beautiful and colorful packaging.
