Participants will visit the former parsonage of Martin Niemöller, where opposition theologians and members of the Confessing Church met from 1933 onward. They will learn the stories of the men and women who helped persecuted Jews and supported dismissed "non-Aryan" pastors. Pastor Martin Niemöller wrote his sermons in the parsonage—often together with his wife, Else Niemöller—defending the freedom of faith and the church against the National Socialists. On July 1, 1937, Martin Niemöller was arrested by the Gestapo in the parsonage.
