Berlin International Short Film Festival – INTERFORUM
What does it mean to make films that do not tell stories ‘about’ a country, but rather ‘from’ it? Drawing on Anishinaabe Indigenous perspectives on land as a web of relationships – encompassing everything above, below and around us – this forum explores Darlene Naponse’s pioneering practice of land-based filmmaking. Drawing on her earlier works and excerpts from *AKI* (2025), the forum traces more than two decades of Indigenous filmmaking.
