ELEKTRO KAGURA brings the ancient Japanese legend of AMATERASU to the stage in a modern dance production. In the story, the goddess of sunlight hides in a cave after her brother SUSANOO disappoints her, plunging the world into darkness.
But through the ecstatic dance of the goddess AMANOUZUME, the light returns. This contemporary version of the traditional KAGURA dance combines Japanese mythology with modern elements of light, sound and movement.
Spectators who wish are invited to join this performance in the final scene.
A participatory work that reflects the fundamental work of the collective, which, through its various initiatives, seeks to connect the local population with international projects.
Following the performance, you will have the opportunity to attend a presentation of the collective's projects. Between pedagogy, artistic performances and social commitment, anyone who wishes can come to the team and participate in the development of the Elektro Kagura community.
