"Since yesterday the shit has been flying around my ears because of you. Of course I'm thinking of you. There's no other way." "And why don't you like me?"

Nils Mohl's novel Henny & Ponger nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize, sets the pace right from the start. The story of Henny & Ponger begins with an emergency stop on the Hamburg S-Bahn and a subsequent escape from the police. And that's just the first of many mysteries and turbulences the two swirl through together. An absurd road trip in a museum-ready vintage car takes them from a backyard workshop to the North Sea island of Amrum, whereby the narrative keeps unexpectedly changing lanes, leaving the boundaries of the usual and probable, and yet one thing remains above all: a love story. One that's out of this world in more ways than one.

Twelve young people between the ages of 14 and 17 are working on a scenic reading together with Sofie Hüsler and Kristina Stang, which will premiere on September 28th in the DT.

" Whenever she leaves, it's like she leaves behind a lot of turbulent air ."
