Free guided tour in celebration of International Sign Language Day.

Public guided tour in tandem with interpretation into German Sign Language (DGS): Hearing, hard-of-hearing, and deaf people are all invited.

During this interactive tour, education specialists will provide insights into how societies have interacted with nature over more than 800 years of German history. They will present exhibits such as Hildegard von Bingen’s depictions of the cosmos, a map showing the straightening of the Rhine River, and images from the early anti-nuclear protests.

The tour thrives on interaction and discussion between participants and the education specialists, with all contributions translated into DGS and spoken language. The way nature is treated and viewed is revealed as a reflection of different eras and social conditions.
