The king's youngest and most beautiful daughter receives a golden ball as a gift from her father. As she plays with it in the castle garden, the ball falls into the fountain. The princess cries bitterly when a frog appears and offers to take the ball back. In return she has to promise to become his playmate. The princess makes the promise but doesn't think about keeping it.
