The Construction of Law and Self
The session raises questions about the history of art practices that have sought to address the trauma of war and economic transition in the post-Yugoslav space. It asks how memory becomes history, and how individual knowledge and traumatic experience catalyze legal formations into international legal paradigms. The guests will discuss the war and the post-Dayton Bosnian state through the paradox of waste as social wealth.
