Two-day festival on November 4 and 5

Invitation to the matinee: reading from Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's travel letters. Hans-Jürgen Schatz is reading.



The FMB Workshop Festival is a series of events to rediscover and rediscover the musician, illustrator and letter writer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. With digital image presentation of 150 drawings and watercolors by the composer in the possession of the Bodleian Library, Oxford/UK, and the Berlin State Library.


Events on November 4th (concert is subject to payment):

  • 3 p.m. Reading and music at the grave
  • 5 p.m. Lecture and discussion
  • 7 p.m. concert


Further events on November 5th (concerts are chargeable):

  • 11 a.m. reading
  • 1 p.m. concert
  • 4 p.m. picture lecture
  • 6 p.m. concert

Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the exhibition “The Mendelssohns in Jägerstrasse” during the event.
