FLUSS BAD BERLIN transforms the Spree Canal from Museum Island to Fischerinsel into a new inner-city living space. Between the Humboldt Forum and the Bode Museum, the river will be a public space inviting the city's residents and visitors to swim. The river water will be naturally purified and transformed into an ecological water landscape in the area of the Fischerinsel.

In order to better understand this unique project, association members and volunteers will offer a 1.5 km city walk through the project area. The goals of a river bath in the heart of the city will be presented as well as historical knowledge and current references to the inner-city Spree Canal.

Thus, public city walks through the project area of FLUSS BAD BERLIN are planned, among others on the Day of Urban Development (08.05.2021) and on the Long Day of Urban Nature (13.06.2021).  During the guided tour, the background and goals of the urban development project will be conveyed and the planned measures will be explained on site.
