“Unemployment, political violence, sexual excesses: Fabian moves in this environment completely carefree. The advertising specialist watches, is amused, but doesn't want to change anything, achieve anything: 'I know a goal, but unfortunately it isn't one. I want to help make people decent and sensible. For the time being, I'm busy looking at their suitability in this regard.' But Fabian gradually loses this relaxedness: when he loses his job, his relationship crumbles, and his good friend Labude commits suicide because of a failed joke.
