  • Thursday, June 29th at 14 o 'clock
The 49th Berlin Senior Citizens' Week is taking place this year under the motto "Together instead of alone". During the event week, the focus is on the many different offers for senior citizens in Berlin.

The Käthe Kollwitz Museum is pleased to be there for the first time and to be able to offer two 90-minute exhibition talks on the topic "Speaking hands in the work of Käthe Kollwitz", which enable a very special approach to the artist's life and work.

Käthe Kollwitz repeatedly used hands as the strongest means of expression in her pictures, sometimes gently touching or powerfully demanding. Kollwitz' work offers a wealth of expressive possibilities to be discovered. In her pictures, the hands "speak" and tell of great emotions. Together with the participants, the exhibition on the life and work of the graphic artist and sculptor will be explored and conversations will be held about the central motif of the hands

Limited number of participants.
