Advent concert with Kurt Wiklander (Sweden)
The Swedish composer and pianist Kurt Wiklander has been organizing so-called “lunchtime concerts” in his Scandinavian homeland for many years. At these concerts, pieces of music that are specially selected by the composer for these concerts are performed in public places such as churches, small theaters, neighborhood homes and libraries. Anyone interested has access to these musical matinees in a casual atmosphere and with free admission.

Since this concept has a good and long tradition in Sweden, Kurt Wiklander offered to give such concerts in our library during his visits to Berlin. The library team gratefully stepped in and established this type of event exclusively in the district.
You are cordially invited to take a musical journey with Kurt Wiklander, which will introduce you to well-known and new things from piano literature. Kurt Wiklander also plays and moderates his own works at these events.
