Opening of the exhibition intervention & new digital tour

The exhibition intervention and the new digital tour "Escape to Germany" combine stories of escape from the GDR with current experiences of refugees today. They allow us to immerse ourselves in the motives, challenges and fears that accompany people on their escape then and now.

Personal reports and original recordings create an audio experience that not only conveys historical knowledge, but also encourages reflection on today's refugee movements. The tour was developed together with people who have personal, family or professional experience with the topic of escape.

At the opening there will be various dialogue formats, looks behind the scenes and musical contributions. We will also present the remake of the music video "New Home" by Bukahara, followed by a convivial conclusion with those involved in the project.
