Classical guitar rock meets melodic synthesizer sounds and makes for soft knees in the audience - Tom Smith's unique baritone voice on top of it as a icing on the cake. Goosebumps guaranteed!" (Arte) In 2003, four music technology students from Stafford University got together and formed the band Snowfield.
Cut, years later this band belongs to the top of the British Indian scene, only under a different name: Editors. The cast has also changed in the meantime: Singer/guitarist Tom Smith, lead guitarist Justin Lockey, bassist Russell Leech, synth/guitarist Elliot Williams and drummer Ed Lay.
Five grandiose studio albums, countless sold-out live concerts and songs like "An End Has a Start","Papillon" and "Ocean of Night" prove how passionately the band burns for their music and how much their fans let themselves be carried away. Sometimes rocky, sometimes a bit electronic, but always with Tom Smith's unique and unmistakable baritone voice. They always reinvent themselves a little bit. In the spring of next year, Editors will be coming back to Germany for an extensive tour - and who knows, maybe even with the new album in their luggage.
