We all know that moment: when something exciting comes to an end, when euphoria crashes into emptiness. The new work of Mélissa Guex is a physical and emotional exploration of this state most people try to avoid at all costs. Created for an arena amid the audience, the piece is an invitation to collectively descend into our inner and outer abysses.
In collaboration with drummer Clément Grin,“DOWN (full album)” reacts to the current state of despair:
an explosive encounter between a dancing body and a drum kit, a performance to overcome our seemingly hopeless present.
