Lecture series of the Association for the Promotion of the Egyptian Museum

This naophore for a man named Nacht-hor-heb from the 26th Dynasty is one of the highest quality surviving examples of its time. The lecture will address the function of the statue, but also the structure and content of the extensive inscription.

A special aspect of this exhibit is that the head had been on display in Berlin since 1814, while the lower part was only purchased almost 180 years later through the Berlin Collection Support Association.

Speaker: PD Dr. Jan Moje

The lecture takes place directly at the property.

Participation free. No registration needed.

Admission is free for members of the Association for the Promotion of the Egyptian Museum e.V. Regular admission applies to all other participants.

Meeting point: Cloakroom on the ground floor of the New Museum
